CTHR is a theatre troupe devoted to creating and presenting original family entertainment. We perform regularly on weekends in the Hampton Roads area from September through April. All of our auditions are open to the community- you do not need to have previous acting experience to audition. If you have a love of theatre, we encourage you to explore it! 

Although CTHR does not require prior professional experience, there are certain traits that we look for when casting, including:

• Eighteen Years and Older (CTHR performs for young audiences; we do not cast young actors in our plays)

• Positive Attitude ​

• Dependable Nature

• Ability to Follow Instructions

• Line Memorization Skills

• Flexible Schedule for rehearsals and performances

• Team players ​

• And above all, we are looking for actors who are enthusiastic about theatre and performing for young audiences

The Show: "Too Many Santas"

Synopsis: Due to a clerical error, The United Nicks headquarters at the North Pole is in disarray. Santas from all over the world (and their counter parts) are scrambling to make sense of the mix up and try to save Christmas! Funny, fast-paced, and family friendly. Plenty of opportunities for physical comedy, puppeteering and audience interaction!

Description: Various roles available for women and men. All ages (18 and up) and ethnicities encouraged to audition.

 

Rehearsal Dates: Weeknights beginning in mid November through mid December. Final rehearsal schedule dependent upon cast availability. 
 

Performance Dates: Saturday, December 14th, 11am and 2pm at Zeiders American Dream Theatre

Compensation: Those involved in this production will work on a volunteer basis.
